COLLECTION OF INFORMATION
Personal Information. We do not collect personally identifiable information from you, unless you provide it to us voluntarily. If you request information from us, subscribe to our newsletter or donate, we may collect the following information: first and last name, street address, city, state, zip code, telephone number, email address, credit card information and subject of inquiry (“Personal Information”). Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personal identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site-related activities
Non-personal identification information
We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information. Standard Web Server Traffic Information. General traffic, site usage, browser information and length of stay information is collected and stored in web-based log files that are password protected. This type of information is shared externally only on an aggregated basis.

MAKING A DONATION
Access to Financial Information. The BOMA Project will not collect or have access to any credit card numbers or bank account information collected by the Third-Party Vendors in the processing of online transactions. You control whether we receive your name, email address, or mailing address, only.
How we use collected information
The BOMA Project may collect and use Users’ personal information for the following purposes:
- To process donations: We may use the information Users provide about themselves when making a donation to provide service to that donation. We share this information with outside parties to the extent necessary to process the donation.
- To send periodic emails: We may use the email address to send User information and updates pertaining to their donation. It may also be used to respond to their inquiries, questions, and/or other requests. If User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email or User may contact us via our Site.
- Research purposes: We may use the information Users provide about themselves to evaluate the success of our marketing and promotional efforts, analyze website usage, and improve our website’s content, layout, and services.
USE OF INFORMATION
We limit the use of your Personal Information as follows:
If you do not request information, subscribe to our newsletter, permit a Third-Party Vendor to provide us with your Personal Information, or otherwise identify yourself, we will have no personally identifiable information about you. We will only use aggregate information derived, in part, from your use of our site to improve our site and our service to you.
If you voluntarily provide Personal Information, we may enter your information into our database and contact you in order to: 1) supply you with information – including our newsletter, related to The BOMA Project’s programs, events and services; or 2) request voluntary time or monetary contributions.
We are committed to protecting the security of your Personal Information and to honoring your choices for its intended use. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of Personal Information, we strive to maintain physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards.
At The BOMA Project, data is stored in a password-controlled database with unique login ID’s and passwords. Each computer system has the latest version of firewalls, malware and virus definitions. Computer systems are regularly monitored to ensure that there is no unauthorized access.
All paper documents are maintained in a secure environment and access to documents is restricted to staff who have been trained on the importance of safeguarding your Personal Information; we are committed to holding them accountable for protecting your confidentiality. BOMA’s Director of Finance, Planning and Administration is responsible for the training of employees and interns on security procedures.
However, such precautions do not guarantee that our website is invulnerable to all security breaks. We make no warranty, guarantee, or representation that the use of our website is protected from viruses, security threats, or other vulnerabilities and that your Personal Information will always be secure. However, in the event of a security breach, The BOMA Fund will fully comply with the Vermont Security Breach Notice Act; to the extent it is applicable.
We respect your privacy and recognize that you may wish to modify our use of your Personal Information. Therefore, you may request that we revise or delete your Personal Information, or discontinue contact with you. If you contact us with a request, all reasonable efforts will be taken to ensure that your request is complied with promptly.

The BOMA Project does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If the BOMA Project finds out that it has personal information about a child under age 13, the BOMA Project will take prompt and reasonable steps to delete it.
